CAF Mourns Sudden Death Of Ivorian Defender Sylla Moustapha

March 07, (THEWILL) – Ivorian left-back, Sylla Moustapha, has tragically passed away after collapsing on the pitch during a game between Racing Club d’Abidjan and SOL FC in Cote d’Ivoire.

The 21-year-old’s death has left the football community in mourning, including the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and its President, Dr Patrice Motsepe.

Moustapha was a young player with a promising career ahead of him, making the news of his sudden death all the more heartbreaking. Dr Motsepe expressed his shock and sadness at the loss and offered his condolences to Moustapha’s family, the Ivorian Football Federation President, Idriss Diallo, the Racing Club d’Abidjan, the Family and the Ivorian people.

The football world is now in reflection as it mourns the loss of a talented young player, whose life was cut short before he could reach his full potential on the field.

CAF and its members have pledged to stand with the Moustapha family during this difficult time, as they come to terms with the loss of their loved one.
