July 21, (THEWILL) – Two Nigerian artistes, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, otherwise known as Burna Boy and Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, have made former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama’s 2023 summer playlist.
The former president in his usual custom, released his summer playlist on Thursday night.
The list included ‘Sittin On Top Of The World’ by Burna Boy. Ayra Starr made the list with her song titled ‘Sability’.
The Nigerian music stars joined other artistes such as Jorja Smith, SZA, J Hus, Drake, Nas and Rosalia, on the playlist that comprises both classic and new records.
In 2022, Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, was featured on Obama’s annual summer playlist.
Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’ also made the 2022 end-of-the-year playlist.
Other Nigerians who have been featured on Obama’s playlists include Wizkid, Rema and Tems.
