BEVERLY HILLS, July 09, (THEWILL) – The Presidency has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to sign the revised 2020 budget into law on Friday, July 10th.
This was revealed by Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant to the President on New Media.
THEWILL recalls that the budget was revised following the new and harsher economic realities brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nigeria had to cut its budget to a feasible size after COVID-19 made oil prices dip and dealt a huge blow on the local and global economy.
The FG team, led by the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, already met the leadership of the Senate to put finishing touches to the budget which has already been passed by the National Assembly.
