Buhari Takes Tinubu On Tour Of Presidential Villa

May 26, (THEWILL) – Outgoing President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, took the incoming President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on a familiarisation tour of the President’s wing of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The two leaders arrived at the Press Gallery at about 1:18 pm, shortly after observing the Friday Jummat Prayers at the Aso Villa Mosque.

Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahimi Gambari, and the Permanent Secretary, Umar Tijjani, were among those that accompanied President Buhari to take the incoming President around the President’s wing of the Villa.

“This is the Gallery where you will be meeting members of the press”, Buhari told Tinubu, as both men emerged from the waiting room of the Aso Chambers.

THEWILL reports that President Buhari, on Thursday, conferred upon Tinubu the National Honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR).

Also on Thursday, the Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima, was taken around the vice presidential wing of the Aso Rock by the outgoing Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
