Update: Buhari Retires Permanent Secretaries

GTBCO FOOD DRINL

BEVERLY HILLS, November 10, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has retired at least 17 permanent secretaries from the federal civil service just hours before the inauguration of federal ministers.

THEWILL gathered that the President informed the affected top officials of their forced retirement during a meeting with them, his Chief of Staff and the Head of Service, at the Presidential Villa on Tuesday afternoon.

THEWILL source familiar with the development said 20 permanent secretaries were previously invited for the meeting but three of them were asked to return to their offices, leaving only 17 others in the meeting.

The President had earlier received and met privately with former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
