October 31, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, presided over the National Security Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
THEWILL reported that President Buhari had on Sunday, summoned the emergency security meeting, to further review and strengthen the security network in the country.
A statement by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, said, President Buhari will receive briefs from the security chiefs and interject on areas that need more attention.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the National Security Adviser, Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd.), and the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, were among those at the meeting.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao also attended the meeting.
