Buhari Mourns Pharaoh Okadigbo, Son Of His Former Running Mate

BEVERLY HILLS, May 23, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the family of the former President of the Senate and his former Running Mate, the late Senator Chuba Okadigbo, on the death of its son, Pharaoh Okadigbo.

Pharaoh is said to have died in a car accident that occurred on Saturday.

Reacting to the news of the death in a release on Sunday by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, Buhari said the deceased was a “promising young man with so much potential and passion for youth involvement in the socio-political development of Nigeria.”

He condoled with the bereaved family, saying the country would miss him for his firm belief and contribution to achieving a better Nigeria.

He noted that the late Pharaoh at an early age keyed into the vision of a better Nigeria not just for the privileged but for all and sundry, which he (the President) shared with the late Chuba Okadigbo, who was his Running Mate in the 2003 presidential election.

Buhari added that the nation would miss a firm believer in the necessity for the people to work in collaboration with governments at all levels to achieve the better society we all wish for.
