March 08, (THEWILL) –Ā Members of the House of Representatives have rescinded their decision on three bills earlier rejected in the process of the 1999 constitution amendment.
The bills include:Ā Bill to expand scope of citizenship by registration;Ā Affirmative action for women in political party administration;Ā Provision for criteria to be indigene of a state in Nigeria.
The development followed a motion moved and adoptedĀ at plenary on Tuesday by the chairman, House Committee on Business and Rules,Ā Hassan Fulata.

The billsĀ (indigenship, citizenship, and 35 % affirmative action for women)Ā will be recommended for consideration and will be part of the second batch of constitution amendment to be presented in a couple of months.
