October 13, (THEWILL) – Former Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema has emerged as the North-West’s consensus Candidate for the National Chairman of the People’ Democratic Party (PDP).
Shema’s candidacy was endorsed during the just-concluded North-West Expanded Caucus meeting of PDP chieftains on Wednesday.
Shema’s emergence squares him off against former Senate President Iyorchia Ayu, who won the North Central Zone’s shadow selection on Tuesday to emerge as preferred candidate from the Middle Belt.
