BREAKING: Edo Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Resigns From APC

SAN FRANCISCO, June 16, (THEWILL) – Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor announced this on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

THEWILL reports that he is expected to also formally join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) within the next 24 hours.

Obaseki, who has had a battle of supremacy with his predecessor and National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, was disqualified from contesting the party’s primaries as exclusively reported by THEWILL.
