However, Bournemouth are now open to sanctioning a January transfer exit if their offer of £100m is met.

The club also set another condition in their discussion with his representatives.

If they are struggling towards the bottom of the league, then the club may decide they need Scott to help secure survival.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth have changed their stance following a meeting with Scott’s agents.

He wrote on X: “Alex Scott could leave Bournemouth in January in case of a big proposal.

“The stance has changed after meeting with agents, as Bournemouth rejected all the proposals in the summer.

“Chelsea are still involved. Liverpool were keen also in July. Price tag expected to be over £100m, as BBC reports.”

Scott’s contract at the Vitality Stadium is expected to run out in 2028, and he has refused to sign a new contract.

Chelsea and Liverpool still retain interest in him, and they will be willing to break the bank to sign him in January.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are short of numbers in midfield.

Scott made his England debut in September in the 2-0 win over the Czech Republic.

He is currently out of action after sustaining a hamstring injury while on international duty.

Scott has scored five goals and recorded two assists for Bournemouth in 85 appearances in the Premier League.

The Cherries have endured a poor start to the season under new coach Marco Rose, drawing three and losing three in their first six games.
