Bosnia And Herzegovina Fined, Banned Over Euro 2024 Qualifier Fan Disorder

October 25, (THEWILL) – UEFA has imposed sanctions on the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NFSBIH) for crowd trouble during recent 2024 European Championship qualifiers, it was announced on Wednesday.

UEFA’s disciplinary body issued a €20,000 fine to the NFSBIH and ordered a partial stadium closure for their next home match due to discriminatory behaviour by supporters during the game against Portugal.

Fines of €26,000 were also imposed for blocking passageways, throwing objects and pitch invasions during the October 16 match. Additionally, the NFSBIH was fined €20,000 and given a ban on away ticket sales for lighting and throwing fireworks during the October 13 qualifier in Liechtenstein.

The sanctions come after UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings into crowd disturbances during Bosnia and Herzegovina’s recent Euro 2024 qualifiers as the team aims to reach the finals in Germany.
