February 01, (THEWILL) – At the 5th Fazza Dubai Para Badminton International, Nigeria’s badminton star, Mariam Eniola Bolaji, clinched the gold medal in the Women’s Singles SL3 category, displaying remarkable skill and determination. Defeating world number one Syakuroh Qonitah Ikhtiar from Indonesia in the finals, Bolaji’s outstanding performance clinched victory for both herself and Nigeria.
Speaking postmatch with BCA TV, Bolaji expressed her elation at the historic win against the world’s best players. She dedicated the victory not just to Nigeria but to the African continent as a whole.
