December 19, (THEWILL) – The former Public Relations Assistant and current Director in charge of Corporate Partnerships at the newly-established Bayelsa Medical University, Mrs Priye Jamabo, has hit back at her detractors.
Recall that over the past weeks, the media has been enmeshed with the news of alleged admission racketeering at Bayelsa Medical University and how a 4-Man probe panel was set to investigate Priye Jamabo over the alleged employment and admission scams.
However, in a petition signed by her lawyer, Ebinyu George Adenigha, Jamabo decried the poor handling of the allegation by the media as she lamented what she described as the highjack of the media by miscreants and enemies of development in the education sector.
Jamabo described the publicity given to the allegation by some media outlets as malicious and libelous with intent to defame her good character and reputation considering the office she is occupying.
She therefore demanded that the publication firms pull down the malicious report against her and render immediate apologies or be prepared to face legal sanctions.
Jamabo therefore appealed to friends, relatives and the public to passionately reject and disregard the unnecessary, malicious and defamatory report against her, stating that plans are in place to bring the perpetrators to book.
