November 23, (THEWILL) – In a dazzling event held at The Canyon Lekki Halls and Event Centre, Lagos State, Miss Blessing Nelson, the Abia State representative, emerged victorious as Miss Nigeria International 2023. The 200-level student from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State, surpassed 12 other finalists in the traditional, beach, and official wear categories.
Crowned by the outgoing Miss Nigeria, Nelson expressed her joy, stating, “It has always been a dream to win, and today I emerged victorious; it shows that with the help of God and hard work, one can achieve anything.”
Miss Oluwatobi Fadayomi claimed the second position, earning the title of Miss Nigeria International Classic, while Miss Ephraim Christel Amanda secured Miss Nigeria International Tourism.
The CEO of Brendan and Crusader Nigeria Limited, the pageant organiser, described the contest as remarkable and the continent’s number one pageant. CEO Brendan Nsikak praised the contestants for bringing their A-list game throughout the competition.
Miss Nelson’s win comes with significant rewards, including a monthly salary of N1.5 million, a yearly endorsement from various brands, an all-expense-paid trip to the United States courtesy of Gonowtravels and Tours, and representation of Nigeria on the global stage.
Notable industry personalities were also honoured at the event for their outstanding contributions to society. The highlight was the unveiling of Miss Abia as the official brand ambassador of Gonowtravels and Tours, marking a memorable moment in the prestigious pageant’s history.
