July 16, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich are confident about finalising a deal for Harry Kane amid ongoing speculation surrounding the striker’s future in and around north London.

With less than a year remaining on his current contract and no indication of a new agreement, Kane’s situation has continued to evoke debate. While Paris Saint-Germain have remained tight-lipped about their alleged interest in the forward, Bayern Munich have publicly expressed their intentions. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy aims to tie Kane to a fresh contract, but Bayern are optimistic that Tottenham’s absence from European competition in the upcoming season will entice the England captain to switch clubs.

Bayern’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness, remarked: “Harry Kane has clearly indicated his decision, and if he sticks to it, then we’ll acquire him because Tottenham will have no choice. Kane wants to play internationally (European football), and luckily for us, Tottenham will not participate internationally next year.”

Yet, even with the uncertainty surrounding his future, Kane has joined his teammates for the pre-season tour in Australia and is expected to be fully involved in the team activities. Under new manager Ange Postecoglou, Spurs plan to engage in discussions with Kane in the near future. Postecoglou has not hidden his desire to include Kane in the club’s journey towards success. Speaking on the subject, he said: “Harry is already part of the history of this club, and I want him involved here.”

Postecoglou emphasised the importance of understanding Kane’s vision while presenting his own and working together to achieve success. The manager also harped on his commitment to treating everyone equally, regardless of their circumstances. Following the tour in Australia, Tottenham will shift their focus to the start of the English Premier League season. Their campaign will commence with an away match against Brentford on August 13.
