Bandits Demand N300m Ransom For Abducted UniAbuja Victims

November 04, (THEWILL) – Suspected bandits who abducted staff members of the University of Abuja, have demanded N300 million ransom to release the victims.

THEWILL recalls that the bandits invaded the staff quarters of the institution on Tuesday morning and abducted four staff members of the institution including two professors, four other staff and two family members.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Habib Yakoob, in a statement on Thursday, said, the assailants contacted families of the victims on Wednesday, demanding N50 million from each abductee

He said, “they have contacted the family of the victims and we learnt that they are demanding for N300 million for all of them”.
