In other parts of the world, Easter is celebrated as a family holiday with bunnies and eggs serving as props, while people take advantage of the fourday weekend to take a break from some of life’s overwhelming demands. Similar to how Christmas is often made about an old white man with a beer belly in a red and white costume, who goes by the alias ‘Santa Claus,’ Easter has, over the years, been marketed with an animal— bunnies—and an animal byproduct, eggs. But those are not the reasons why we have two days off work.
