March 25, (THEWILL) – The much anticipated 50th birthday bash of the publisher, YES International Magazine, Azuh Arinze, which was held on Thursday, March 24, at the Nigeria Institute of International Affair (NIIA), Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event, which was well attended by dignitaries and friends of the celebrant, was a success by miles. One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of his two books, Conversation with Showbiz Stars and A Taste of Success.
Former Governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba, was the chairman of the occasion, while comedian and compere, Gbenga Adeyinka anchored the event.
Some VIP guests present at the event were Debby Ogunjobi, Larry Izamoje, Taiwo Ajayi Lancet, Quiny Ayodele, Dr Tobi Ayodele, Onyeka Onwenu, Bisi Olatilo, Kunle Bakare, Jimi Agbaje, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, Sammie Okposo, Funke Egbemode, Olumide Iyanda, Clement Mudiaga, Taibat Okesanjo, Julius Agwu, Chris Ibosi, Femi Akintunde-Johnson and wife, Zic Zulu Okafor and a host of others.
Another highlight of the event was the felicitation clips from the crème de la crème in Nigeria to the celebrant. Short video clips of former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Steve Babaeko, Anslem Madubuko, Ausbeth Ajagu, Femi Adeshina and some notable Nigerians were played as they also paid glowing tributes and birthday wishes to the celebrant.
A biography of the celebrant was also played to the admiration of guests, who gave the celebrant thumbs up for an impressive pedigree in Journalism.
Some dignitaries launched the two books with undisclosed amounts and promised to get in touch with the publisher. Jimi Agbaje specifically noted that he wouldn’t disclose his donation as an industrialist, so that Lagos State Internal Revenue Service would not come after him.
