Saudi Arabia and Thailand booked round of 16 spots from Group F, but Oman and Kyrgyzstan missed out after mixed fortunes.
The group stage produced some thrilling football while ruthlessly eliminating eight teams. Qatar, Australia and Iran impressed by winning their groups, while Bahrain and Tajikistan surprised by progressing undefeated. With the knockout round lined up featuring more giant killings, nothing is guaranteed on the road to Asian Cup glory.
