Army Charges Troops To Remain Loyal To Tinubu

September 1, (THEWILL) – The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Mohammed Takuti Usman, has charged troops to remain loyal to constituted authorities, particularly the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Tinubu.

He charged the troops to uphold the rule of law as a show of professionalism in the discharge of their constitutional duty.

Major General Usman gave the charge during his maiden visit to Headquarters 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The GOC was received and briefed by the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, on the administrative and operational activities of the Brigade, which covers Ogun State entirely.

During the visit, General Usman commissioned a newly constructed Quarter Guard in Alamala Barracks and also inspected ongoing projects in the barracks.

Usman also used the occasion to pay a visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun in the government house and the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egba Land, Oba Micheal Aremu Gbadebo, in the Ake Palace, Abeokuta.

He also extended the familiarisation visit to 192 Battalion (BN) Owode. While in 192 BN, Major General Usman was equally briefed by the Commanding Officer, Rear Maj B Bala, on the activities and operational engagement of the Battalion.

Highlights of the visit include address to troops, address to barrack women, tour of the barrack facilities, presentation of plaques and signing of visitors’ books amongst others.
