Ararume’s Judgment: Due Judicial Process Will Be Followed – Buhari

April 19, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has taken due notice of the judgment by the Federal High Court, Abuja, restoring Senator Ifeanyi Ararume as the non-Executive Chairman of Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

THEWILL reports that a Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday, ordered the reinstatement of Senator Ararume as non-Executive Chairman of the NNPCL.

In his reaction to the court ruling, the President, in a statement issued on Wednesday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said while the NNPCL has already taken steps to go on appeal, due judicial process will be followed on the matter.

The statement disclosed that the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation/Minister for Justice is yet to receive a formal copy of the court ruling.

President Buhari reiterated his administration’s respect for the rule of law

“The Administration respects the Rule of Law, and nothing will be done outside it to resolve the matter,” the President said.

He sues for calm from all sides involved in the matter.
