SAN FRANCISCO, March 10, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has restated the commitment of its presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, to the peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians, as well as to the growth and nurturing of democracy in the country.
The Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Campaign Organisation, Garba Shehu, stated this Tuesday at a media briefing in Abuja, saying Buhari is also committed to the peace pact which he co-signed with President Goodluck Jonathan, and shall indeed use any available forum to impress on his followers on the need for the path of peace at all times.
“And this is in spite of serial violations of the latter by the other side. Above all, General Buhari and his administration would practice and promote politics of nationalism, patriotism, character, equity, accountability, religious/ethnic tolerance, morality, justice and fairness and service to humanity,” Shehu said.
He therefore advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its campaigners to refrain from throwing invectives at the APC Presidential candidate, saying doing that would amount to working against the spirit of the Peace Pact.
