August 30, (THEWILL) – A handful of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday morning, protested the appointment of Asu Okang into the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), by President Tinubu.
The protesters converged at the state Secretariat of the party and carried various placards to display their anger.
Asu Okang is a former commissioner for youths and sports, as well as Information in the state, who was sacked by former governor, Ben Ayade, over his refusal to defect to the APC.
He is also a supporter of the G5 Group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which stood for power shift to the south during the last presidential election.
