November 23, (THEWILL) – The Local Organising Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Rally, scheduled for Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, on Saturday, has assured that it will be peaceful and that the well-being of the attendees will be taken care of.

Addressing the media at a press conference in Lagos, Wednesday, the Chairman, Local Organising Committee of the APC Lagos Campaign Rally, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, said the event holds a promise for mass attendance by members of the APC and members of the general public because of the popularity of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is the Presidential candidate of the party.

“You may wish to recall that he (Tinubu) excelled as a Senator of the Federal Republic representing Lagos–West Senatorial District, and as the Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007. Therefore, the event is like a homecoming for our leader and mentor, who has become a national pride”, Solomon said.

He said the epoch-making event will be carnival-like, as it will give an opportunity for APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to address the people on his manifestos aptly tagged: ‘Renewed Hope.’

He said that it is imperative to seek the cooperation of members of the general public as regards the need for temporary diversion of traffic and mass movement of supporters within the vicinity of the rally on Saturday.

“We need to reassure you that the Nigerian Police Force, Lagos State Traffic Management (LASTMA), and other law enforcement agencies will be fully mobilised, to ensure an event devoid of security infractions and traffic disruptions.”

He also enjoins all participants to be of good conduct and display the characteristics of peaceful conduct at the party event.
