APC Has Taken Over Everywhere In Cross River – Hon John Ulafor

January 21, (THEWILL) – A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Cross River State and serving Commissioner for Grants in the State Executive Council, Hon John Ulafor, says his party has taken over everywhere in the state.

Hon Ulafor who is aspiring to represent Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the by-elections scheduled for 26th of February 2022 disclosed this in Calabar.

He said the party is primed to win the by-elections because the major stakeholders in the Constituency are now with the APC.

In his words, “You can assess it yourself in Cross River, APC has taken over everywhere.

“If it is winning, forget about it, because the very who is who in Cross River State is in APC”, Hon Ulafor said.

Speaking on his aspiration, he said the constituency needs a very loud voice in Abuja and besides the Ukele axis which he comes from, has never had a chance to occupy the seat.

“A very loud voice from Cross River State Must be heard in Abuja. I come from constituency two of Yala, Ogoja and Yala. Jarigbe was there as a member of the house of representative, and he moved to the senate, the vacancy has been declared, so it naturally returns back to Yala.

“Now in Yala the other constituency has had it over and over again. So the Ukele axis has never had it, which is Yala two.

“So we in Yala are a two-in-one local government. So this is the first opportunity we will ever have to go to the house of representatives, I mean we in Yala two axis”, he said.

He explained that if his people have simple life amenities, at least the crime will reduce. Everybody will be busy.

This, he said, is what he is going to bring, and I’m going to ensure that there will be empowerment that has never been done before.

He argued that nation development is a collective responsibility and not all about president Buhari.

According to him, “what part are you playing to contribute your quarter to ensure that together we can give our people the development which we yearn for?

“As a grassrooter, I came in from the lowest in the society through hard work, and got into where I am today. I learn from everybody, I’m down there with the lowest, and up there will the high so I learn from everybody.”

The Ogoja Yala Federal Constituency by-elections follows the resignation of the erstwhile occupant Hon Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe who was elected senator.

The Independent National Electoral Commission will also conduct a by-election for the Akpabuyo state Constituency following the demise of Hon. Ironbar.
