May 24, (THEWILL) – A major setback has hit Real Madrid, with manager, Carlo Ancelotti, confirming that midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni, will miss the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund due to a foot injury. The 24-year-old French international sustained a stress fracture in his foot during Real’s semi-final victory over Bayern Munich.
Despite undergoing treatment, Tchouameni’s recovery has not progressed as hoped, ruling him out of the coveted European showpiece at Wembley on June 1. His absence will be a significant blow for Los Blancos as they aim to lift their 15th Champions League trophy.
