November 06, (THEWILL) – The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ongoing Anambra governorship election, Andy Uba, has exercised his franchise at his polling unit in Ugah, Aguata LGA.
Uba, who commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth processes of the ongoing election, said, “INEC’s arrangement is transparent and orderly. Things are going smoothly; we are going to win this election.
“The security, everything is in order. By the end of everything, APC will be number one.”
Other candidates, including the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Valentine Ozigbo and Ifeanyi Uba of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), have also cast their ballots.
Ozigbo, who voted at his unit 10 Amesi Ward, expressed worry over the poor internet connectivity experienced by voters.
He said it took him over 20 minutes to cast his vote and wondered what other voters would experience in various parts of the state
Ozigbo, who called on eligible voters to come out and exercise their franchise, assuring them of their security, however decried the late arrival of materials at Awka South, Orumba North, other parts of the State.
He urged INEC officials to ensure that materials get to those areas to avoid disenfranchising voters.
