BEVERLY HILLS, June 23, (THEWILL) –Rita Ora has ditched Jay Z’s Roc Nation record label for a UK based one. This comes weeks after the ‘Body on Me’ singer reportedly reached an out of court settlement with Roc Nation. Recall she had filed a lawsuit against Roc Nation in 2015 with the label countersuing her early 2016.
On Monday, June 20, she signed a worldwide recording contract with Atlantic Records UK.
“First and foremost she’s a great singer who’s hugely passionate about music and I’m delighted to welcome her to Atlantic Records,” said Atlantic Records UK President Ben Cook, who also represents Ed Sheeran, Birdy and Marina and the Diamonds. “We look forward to getting in the studio with her and making an incredible album.”
The British singer is yet to release another album following her debut way back in 2012. She also made the no doubt welcome development on her Instagram page.
