BEVERLY HILLS, December 31, (THEWILL) – Popular American actress, Dawn Wells, who is known for her role in playing Mary Ann on the iconic CBS comedy series Gilligan’s Island, is dead at the age of 82.
Wells died on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles from Covid-19 complications.
She was born on October 18, 1938, in Reno, NV and started her acting career on such popular drama and Western series as Bonanza, Maverick, Cheyenne, 77 Sunset Strip and Wagon Train in the early 1960s.
Wells also worked in other movies in the mid-’70s and later performed in the Gilligan’s Island toon series and movies before appearing on important movie projects as Columbo, Roseanne, Baywatch, ALF and others.
