The Algerian Ministry of Culture and the Arts also revealed that the movie promotes homosexuality and other Western deviances.

The Algerian Ministry has been monitoring the content of films displayed in theatres and they have the authority to prevent movies from being shown.

Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, ‘Barbie’ takes Mattel Inc.’s doll on an adventure in the real world.
Since its July 21 premiere, the film has surpassed $1 billion in worldwide box office ticket sales.

This development is coming after Vietnam and Kuwait both banned the movie because of its contents.

Kuwait banned the movie for promoting ideas and beliefs that are alien to Kuwaiti society and public order.

Vietnam also banned the movie in August because it included a view of the map showing disputed Chinese territorial claims in the South China Sea.
