Aiyedatiwa Dissolves Ondo State Executive Council

January 24, (THEWILL) – Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council he inherited from the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

A statement signed on Wednesday, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said the dissolution takes immediate effect.

All affected cabinet members were ordered to hand over to senior public officers in the various ministries or parastatal agencies.

The statement reads in part: “The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.

“All members of the Cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.

“Also, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are relieved of their duties, with immediate effect.

“All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.”

The Governor, however, appreciated “the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.”
