BEVERLY HILLS, May 03, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s Aiteo, operators of OML 29 and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line, NCTL, Friday said it has successfully completed emergency repairs on the strategic pipeline and advised all oil companies transporting crude via the pipeline to re-align and commence start-up formalities immediately.
THEWILL recalls that Aiteo declared a force majeure following a fire incident that occurred during a failed crude theft incident that killed the thieves about two weeks ago.
“Aiteo confirms that our Emergency Pipeline Repair teams have successfully completed leak repair activities on all reported leak points on the NCTL.
“Consequently, all injectors have been advised to re-align and commence start-up formalities immediately and advise on their start up times,” the company, which finances the NFF as well as the national soccer teams of Nigeria, said in the statement.
