November 19, (THEWILL) – Less than 24 hours after a former Commissioner for Rural Development in Enugu State, Gab Onuzulike and his brother, Elvis Onuzulike, were killed at Nkpokolo Achi, gunmen on Saturday, shot dead two police officers in Agbani, Nkanu West Local Government of Enugu State.
According to residents in the area, the policemen were killed at a roundabout close to Agbani main market and the Agbani Divisional Police Station.
“The gunmen started shooting sporadically immediately they approached the policemen who were on a stop-and-search duty”, one of the residents said, adding that the attack caused pandemonium in the area as people ran for safety.
The State Police Command has not issued any statement on the incident.
