October 24, (THEWILL) – Cristiano Ronaldo was the star of the show as Al Nassr defeated Qatari club Al-Duhail 4-3 in the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
The Al Nassr captain scored two excellent left-footed goals and provided a stylish back-heeled assist for Talisca in a man-of-the-match performance. Talisca opened the scoring in the 25th minute after collecting Ronaldo’s clever pass.
Sadio Mane then doubled Al Nassr’s lead 11 minutes into the second half after the Al-Duhail keeper fumbled an attempted gather. Ronaldo made it 3-0 just after the hour mark with a fabulous 25-yard strike.
Al Nassr looked comfortable but two quick goals from Ismaeel Mohammad and captain Almoez Ali gave Al-Duhail hope. Ronaldo calmed any nerves with a volleyed fourth goal in the 81st minute following a cross from Sultan Al-Ghannam.
Michael Olunga pulled one back late on for Al-Duhail but Al Nassr held on for the win and have nine points from three games in Champions League Group E.
