November 20, (THEWILL) – English singer and songwriter Adele has officially confirmed her marriage to American sports agent, Rich Paul, putting an end to the swirling rumours about their relationship.
During Alan Carr’s stand-up show in Los Angeles, Adele reportedly spilt the beans about her recent marriage. Eyewitnesses claim she excitedly shouted, “I did,” in response to Carr’s inquiry about her recent marriage.
This confirmation comes after weeks of intense speculation surrounding Adele’s relationship status. The couple had dropped subtle hints leading up to this revelation.
Rich Paul, when questioned about the rumours, played coy, allowing Gayle King to refer to Adele as “Mrs Paul.”
Adele herself had previously referred to herself as Rich’s “wife” in various instances, including a TikTok video and interactions with fans.
In 2011, Adele entered a relationship with charity entrepreneur, Simon Konecki, bearing a son for him in 2012, after which she revealed struggles with postnatal depression, anxiety, and panic attacks.
Speculation arose in 2017 about Adele and Konecki’s marriage, seemingly confirmed at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. However, in a 2021 interview, she disclosed they married in 2018 and separated the same year. Adele filed for divorce in September 2019, finalised in March 2021.
Her relationship with Rich Paul started in 2021, leading to marriage in 2023.
However, Adele has yet to make any official statement about her marital status.
