The application exercise is scheduled to close on May 13 and more applications are still being processed.

The commission recently said it would recruit 500 cadet ASP, 500 cadet inspectors, 1,500 specialist officers and 7,500 constables in the recruitment of 10,000 policemen.

PSC Chairman, Dr. Mike Okiro, in a statement last month, had declared that the application process has been smooth and transparent, adding that the commission was committed to making the recruitment exercise a huge success.

Okiro said the PSC would continue to make the process of the recruitment transparent and assured the applicants of fairness and equal opportunity since the commission is only interested in recruiting for the police the best brains in the society.

President Muhammadu Buhari approved the recruitment at the 2015 national security summit, saying it would help to reinforce the police for better service.
