Acting In This Movie Has Changed My Perception About Life- Denrele, On His Role In ‘Pepper Soup’

GTBCO FOOD DRINL

BEVERLY HILLS, May 16, (THEWILL) – Call him eccentric, controversial, dramatic, Denrele Edun remains a brand to be reckoned with.

However with his high energy and eccentric nature comes a penchant for accidents (not that his choice of footwear helps matter). Remember when he fell off the runway at a fashion show in Port Harcourt?

Earlier this year, Denrele who also dabbles had another nasty fall while on set of a movie ‘Pepper Soup’ which left him with a gash on his brow.

True to his character, forged on with his role paly amidst all the panicking. He even shared a video of himself then…

They say that true artists suffer for their craft, but perhaps no artist has suffered like myself on this hustle of ours! The moment I got the script titled #PepperSoup from @graceobobaedwinokon with me as the lead character, I just wanted to jump onboard! And yes, I jumped on in my gangsta mode! Whilst shooting the first scene, I was supposed to pass out but in a bid to make it convincing, I fell on my face and accidentally split my eye brow area open! I bled like crazy!!! REAL BLOOD!!! The producer wanted to strike set and cancel shoot but I refused! Say what? First rule: the show must go on! And I was kinda lucky we were shooting in a hospital so there were nurses to dress the wound. Had to add some extra extra extensions to my hair to hide the plaster…And I got back on set like nothing happened! Im in a lot of pain but hey…THE SHOW MUST GO ON! Here's your favorite StageFaller with another beautiful FALL! #DustsShoulders

According to Vanguard, the actor while sharing that experience at the premiere of the movie last Friday, at Civic Centre, Lagos, said: “I fell down on the first day on set. I needed to make my role believable and so, I decided to do it for real. When I started bleeding, everyone was in panic. I had non-stop migraine.

“After I went for treatment, I became more careful in order not to touch my eyebrow. The character I played sheds more light on what many entertainers do these days. A lot of entertainers take these substances back to back to knock out depression and other things. Acting in this movie has changed my perception about life and it couldn’t have come at a better time,” he added.
