Abducted Army Captain Regains Freedom In Ondo

SAN FRANCISCO, May 14, (THEWILL) – An Army officer, Captain D. Gana, and three others who were abducted two days ago by some unknown gunmen in Ondo State have been released on Thursday morning.

The military man and other travellers were kidnapped along Auga Akoko-Kabba Expressway in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of the state while returning from Abuja and taken to an unknown place.

It was, however, gathered that they were rescued by a team of security men who combed the forest.

The spokesman for the Nigerian Army 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure, Captain Ayorinde Omojokun, confirmed their release.

However, no arrest has been made.
