Aba Businessman Regains Freedom After N20m Ransom

SAN FRANCISCO, August 30, (THEWILL) – An Aba based businessman and owner of Nkwubuego Petrol Stations in Aba, Abia State, Chief Christopher Ezenku, who was recently abducted by unknown gunmen has regained his freedom after paying N20 million ransom to his abductors.

Ezenku, who hails from Umuoru Village, Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State was kidnapped on Tuesday by yet to be identified persons while he was driving into his house at Patrick Avenue off faulks road, Aba.

The businessman was dropped off at the outskirts of the commercial city last Saturday after his family members had met the N20 million ransom demanded by the abductors.

The businessman according to THEWILL findings, had been kidnapped at least three times before this incident, and is believed to have paid a ransom of between N10 to N20 million for his release.
