SAN FRANCISCO, August 30, (THEWILL) – An octogenarian, Mrs. Cecilia Ogidi-Okereke has been raped to death in Ibom village, Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State by a 32year old man identified as Ochu.
According to reports, Mrs. Cecilia, a mother of four met her untimely death last week Sunday after she was raped around 5pm in a bush while she was cutting food for her goats.
A source who preferred to be anonymous said that the young man who often times behaves like a lunatic as a result of addiction to Indian hemp delights pleasure in trailing and raping women in the community.
The octogenarian, unlike other victims of the rapist, died in the process, leading to a declaration of manhunt on Ochu by Ibom community.
However, it was gathered that the assailant was on Monday arrested in Ohafia, Bende Local Government Area of the state through the efforts of military officers after a woman from Ibom community had told the security operatives what the assailant had done in her village.
THEWILL gathered that Ochu has been transferred to the police in Arochukwu.
