January 31, (THEWILL) – Hakim Ziyech has reportedly asked Chelsea to accept Paris Saint-Germain’s loan offer to allow him temporarily move to the French capital.
The 29-year-old Morocco international has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge, only showing glimpses of his talent and lacking the consistency to establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup.
This, combined with Chelsea’s current focus on building for the future with younger players, has led Ziyech to seek a move to PSG as a replacement for the departed Pablo Sarabia. Les Parisiens are eager to secure Ziyech’s services as he demonstrated his ability on the world stage during the recent World Cup.
Despite his inconsistent performances at Chelsea, the Parisian club believes that the Moroccan star can be the missing piece in their attacking lineup. Also, Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, who has signed several young players this transfer window including Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke, is reportedly open to allowing Ziyech to leave on loan.
With the club’s focus on the future, the loss of an experienced attacking player may not be a significant concern for the manager.
