Zamfara State Speaker’s Father Dies In Bandits Den

October 03, (THEWILL) – Alhaji Muazu Abubakar, father of Zamfara State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon. Nasiru Muazu Magarya has died of heart failure in bandits den.

THEWILL reports that bandits in their hundreds had stormed Magarya town in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, and abducted the Speaker’s father along with his wife, three weeks old baby and three others.

Elder brother to the deceased, Malam Dahiru Saraki Magarya confirmed the sad development on Saturday.

Malam Magarya was among the abducted victims kidnapped ong with the Speaker’s father. They were said to have been rescued by the police in collaboration with the military .

Malam Magarya, told newsmen in Gusau on Saturday that one of the bandits’ kingpin popularly known as Kachalla informed him a day to their rescue, that his brother was dead due to heart failure while in captivity.

“Although we were separated when they kidnapped us, they took my brother to another camp but it was Kachalla, one of the commanders of the Bandits who told me about the death of my brother as a result of a heart attack a few hours to our rescue”, he said.

Also, the wife of the deceased, Hauwa’u Mu’azu Abubakar Magarya who was kidnapped along with her three months old baby, said she heard one of the bandits saying her husband had died.

“When I heard him saying my husband is dead, I was shocked but I submitted everything to Almighty God and I told my people that we were kidnapped together but they ignored my information”, she added.
