December 30, (THEWILL) – Founder of One Love Family, Sat Guru Maharaj ji, has advised the incoming leader of the Yoruba nation, to go deep into the archives to find out about the culture and tradition of the race.
It would be recalled that Professor Banji Akintoye, recently announced his resignation as the leader of the Yoruba nation due to old age.
Maharaj Ji in a statement he issued on Friday, said the problem of the Yoruba is that they have abandoned the culture and tradition of the race for European culture.
He said culture is the link to the creator, who is the dispenser of Justice, liberty and freedom, and the defender of the defendceless.
He said the person that will take over from Akintoye as Yoruba leader should go beyond religion to talk to the elders and seek practical ways of resolving this age-long agitation for the Yoruba nation, which cannot be solved by prayers and wars but by constructive engagements and dialogue.
“The Yoruba leaders should jettison European culture and rely more on Yoruba culture. Our culture has solutions to all the problems facing us,” Maharaj ji said.
He further said that “when you go to archives, you will see that you don’t need to go to the United Nations or go and carry guns to get your demands.
“They should go in and stop misleading the people into believing that God, Allah will do it for them, when religion has failed woefully in every part of the world,” Maharaj ji said.
