SAN FRANCISCO, February 12, (THEWILL) – Former Super Eagles captain and defender, Joseph Yobo has been appointed assistant coach of the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

The retired former Olympique Marseille, Fenerbahce and Everton defender replaces Imama Amapakabo in the technical crew.

Yobo also played for the Nigeria U20 soccer team – Flying Eagles – during the FIFA World Youth Championship (now known as FIFA U20 World Cup) in 1999.
