BEVERLY HILLS, May 06, (THEWILL) – The aged mother of deceased prolific striker of the Super Eagles, Rashidi Yekini will henceforth receive a monthly stipend of N10, 000 from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.
Olaitan Shittu, the emissary of the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, announced this when he visited Alhaja Sikiratu in Ijagbo, Kwara State Wednesday to donate N50, 000, a bag of rice and beverages to the widow for the Ramadan period.
The representative also said the Ministry will also place the mother of deceased Super Eagles midfielder, Samuel Okwaraji on the same monthly stipend.

“…I need help from Nigerians, but this minister has done very well, especially remembering me in this holy month of Ramadan. Since my son died, it has been very tough for me because I do not have any help from people…” Alhaja Sikiratu said in her local dialect.
