October 25, (THEWILL) – The medical team at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium have completed medical examinations for Wikki Tourists FC players ahead of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The tests were conducted as part of registration requirements set by league organisers. Team doctor Umar Abubakar oversaw the medical exams and said they were successfully completed. He confirmed that the Wikki Tourists players have been cleared to compete this season.
The NNL announced that the new season will kick off on Saturday, October 28. However, Wikki Tourists will play their first match on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at home against EFCC FC, according to a statement from the club.
The NNL features an assortment of professional and amateur clubs across the country, as the second tier of football competition in Nigeria. Wikki Tourists will be aiming for promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the end of this season.
