August 29, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the list of campaign members for the November 11 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo State.
The list of the party’s campaign council was released by Sulaiman Argungu, National Organising Secretary of the APC.
However, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is listed as a member of the Bayelsa governorship election campaign council of the APC
Wike’s name was number 6 in the campaign council that would be led by Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya, the Gombe State Governor.
While Wike worked against his party during the 2023 presidential election, the former Rivers Governor had insisted he remained a member of the PDP.
THEWILL reports that the 123 campaign list also saw the immediate past governor of Jigawa State, and current Defence Minister, Mohammed Badaru as co-chair
For Kogi, the campaign council would be chaired by the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, who would be assisted as co-chairs by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor; Umar Bago, Niger State Governor; and Uba Sani, Kaduna State Governor.
For Imo State, Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, is the chairman of the council, and would be assisted by Hon Francis Nwifiru, Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, and Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, in the 138-member lists.
