June 19, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has revealed why women are not respected in the society.

The mother of two in a live Instagram post, stated that women are not respected because they don’t have anything.

She added that a woman should be financially confident. So that they can be respected.

She also stated that many young ladies are lazy, they are never willing to do anything to help themselves.

They just can’t use their brain to come up with anything meaningful to move them forward.

“Every woman should be financially confident because life is so deep. When you go about depending on other people’s money.

“Sugar daddy’s money or whoever you depend on. You are only doing yourself. At the end of the day, it is not your own money.

“A lot of women are not respected in our society today because they don’t have anything. You need to have your own money so that you can be respected.

“What some women are good at is to wake up, put on makeup and go back to sleep. They are always looking for one sugar daddy to sleep with.

“They will not rack their brain to know their purpose or ask what they will do to make an impact.

She further asked if ladies in these categories came to this world just to sleep around and collect money from others.

Her outburst is coming at a time when many are advocating for women empowerment and encouraging other women to be financially independent so that they will not be shuffled around.
