January 11, (THEWILL) – The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ebonyi South District, Ebonyi state, Governor David Nweze Umahi, has described as time-wasters, those who think the ruling party would not win in the southeast.

Governor Umahi made the statement while addressing supporters of the party during the southeast campaign rally held at Okpara Square, Enugu.

According to him, the people of the southeast need to integrate themselves into the centre by ensuring they deliver APC from booth, ward and state levels.

He said the winning of the party in the zone is the bargaining power of the people of the southeast.

Umahi said, “I am happy to see you in Enugu, the capital of the eastern race. The mobilisation is great and total. You can see the streets of Enugu state are empty because APC is holding her rally.

“We have to integrate ourselves into the centre. So that we can go to Jagaban with the results of our wards and polling units, so that we can bargain with Jagaban.

“If you come to Ebonyi state, you will see what APC can do. Anybody who said APC will not win in the southeast is wasting their time. I am begging our people we must support the party that will win the centre.

“We are not looking for 60%, we are looking for 90%, so that the opposition can manage 10%. All the candidates for APC in the southeast are wonderful candidates. We are only obedient to Jagaban in the southeast”, he stressed.
